The Yakima SwingDaddy4
the most expensive of the company’s models, is a swing-away rack that holds four bikes comfortably. The rack swings out toward the driver’s side of the vehicle to allow easy trunk access without having to remove the bikes, and when not in use, it can be folded down and out of the way, making parking relatively easy, indoors or out. The rack's construction also makes getting bikes on and off less of a chore.
This bike rack has the Yakima Hitch Lock for security, and its anti-sway cradles keep your bikes from banging against each other or your car, minimizing damage during transport. It fits the 2-inch hitch receiver and is a snap to install. No additional tools are required for installation, and the entire installation process takes only a few minutes.
Bikes are secured in the rack by the frame, and most styles and sizes can be easily accommodated without having to buy tube adaptors, although it is recommended that adaptors be installed if you’re transporting mountain bikes.
At a list price of $495, the Yakima SwingDaddy 4 bike rack is the Cadillac of hitch mounted bike racks, but for secure transportation of your expensive bicycles, it is well worth the investment. especially if you transport them frequently.
